Indian Hotels ropes in senior executives

Indian Hotels Company, which operates the Taj Hotels, resorts and palaces has inducted three senior professionals from the hospitality industry to its core management team.

Franz Zeller has been appointed as senior vice-president and chief operating officer of Taj group's luxury hotels division. The luxury division is the largest contributor to the Taj group's turnover. Earlier, the division was headed by Raymond Bickson who was later elevated to replace RK Krishna Kumar as managing director.

Zeller has over 30 years of experience in various international hotel operations including Hilton International in Australia, New Delhi and Japan and for the Millennium and Copthorne International, Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel Singapore.

In his previous assignment, Zeller was senior vice-president""Middle East and north Africa for Millennium Hotels and Resorts based in Abu Dhabi. John Gerrard has been appointed as director-sales and marketing, luxury hotels division. Gerrard has over 27 years of experience in the field of sales and marketing .
