The new scheme has been introduced following criticism of the airline's new policy which increased penalties for cancellations upto 48 hours before flight.
Passengers who opt for the scheme would only have to pay difference in fare while making booking changes. It is designed for business travellers as well executives from small and medium industries. The airline has not revised its cancellation policy but is giving passengers an option to avail booking flexibility on payment of a fee.

Corporate clients are allowed waivers in date change and cancellation fees when a ticket is purchased under corporate booking code. However often corporates purchase tickets for staff paying retail fares which can be cheaper at times. Such retail fares do not get waiver benefits.
Earlier IndiGo charged a flat fee of Rs 1,500 and Rs 2,000 per person on domestic and international routes respectively.
This was amended and now passengers who cancel 2-48 hours before flight have to forego Rs 2,250 per segment on domestic routes. Domestic tickets cancelled 30 or more days in advance will attract a fee of Rs 1,250 per passenger per segment. International tickets, which are cancelled 4 hours to seven days before departure, attract fee of Rs 2,500
Jet Airways too has revised its cancellation fees and the airline is charging fee of Rs 1,000-3,000 per ticket.
