Internet company Info Edge (India), which runs popular job site Naukri.Com, today reported a 31% growth in profit after tax to Rs 28.8 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2011.
The entity had posted a net profit of Rs 21.92 crore for the October-December quarter of 2010, Info Edge said in a statement.
The company's net sales stood at Rs 91.99 crore in the quarter under review, against Rs 75.08 crore in the year-ago period.
Commenting on the earnings, Info Edge (India) CFO and Director Ambarish Raghuvanshi said, "The operating environment is uncertain, revenues and profits continue to be healthy, which is a reflection of the robust position in our major businesses. The real estate listings vertical grew appreciably in this quarter."
During the quarter, recruitment solutions revenue grew by 20.4%, while the real estate vertical grew by 50%.
Shares of the company were quoting at Rs 588.60 apiece in afternoon trade on the BSE, up 2.52% from their previous close.
