"As the EVP and Group Head - HRD at Infosys, Krish will be responsible for envisioning the roadmap for HR, driving strategy and aggressive implementation of operational priorities in alignment with the overall organizational mandate. All the HR Heads of Infosys group companies will report to Krish in this role," U B Pravin Rao, chief operating officer (COO) of Infosys wrote in an internal mail to the employees.

Infosys had been scouting for a group HR Head ever since the Bengaluru-based company decided to transfer Srikantan Moorthy to the delivery side of the business earlier this year. The company is said to have evaluated top HR executives including a few global ones before zeroing on Shankar.

"With over 30 years of global experience, Krish is widely known for his business-centric approach to Human Resources," Rao added.

In the internal mail which is also learnt to have been posted in the company's intranet portal, the company has said the joining date of Shankar is being finalized which would be updated shortly.
