Software major Infosys Technologies today said it would participate in the Earth Hour campaign to spread awareness on climate change and inculcate responsible behavior among its employees.
Infosys has formulated a Clean-n-Green Bengaluru Drive as part of the Earth Hour campaign.
The Green Connect team at Infosys is planning a clean-up drive on MG Road and Brigade Road, to emphasise the need for community participation in ensuring a Clean and Green City.
In addition to the above, Infosys is conducting a number of in-house activities to spread awareness on sustainable practices, it said in a release here today.
The activities will include a centrally co-ordinated one hour power switch off across all DCs, with recordings of the power savings. The software major is also conducting contests and have invited written and video entries from employees during the switch off period under the theme of ‘My 60 Minutes for Earth’.
In keeping with the ‘sustainable’ theme, switch-off carols and a candle-light march will be organised on office floors to promote awareness on Earth Hour.
