Software services company, Infotech Enterprises today said it has signed an agreement with IBM to jointly provide services to provide Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and engineering solutions for the manufacturing industry.The company through its wholly-owned subsidiary InfoTech Enterprises America, Inc, signed the agreement with IBM to jointly provide services to assist clients across the globe in accelerating the deployment of PLM and engineering solutions, Infotech Enterprises informed the Bombay Stock Exchange."We are very pleased to launch this new services relationship with IBM. Together, our two companies will be able to bring our customers the best combination of Infotech's domain knowledge in engineering with IBMs systems, software technology, and services capabilities," Infotech Enterprises America, Inc President and CEO Rajan Kasetty said.IBMs would provide global manufacturing industry knowledge, large middleware portfolio and Infotech would provide prominent engineering and consulting engineering expertise, the comopany said.The agreement would enable both the companies to provide professional consulting and solutions skills to address a wide range of PLM implementation and integration needs.According to the National Association of Software and Service Companies (NASSCOM), global spending for engineering services is currently estimated at $ 750 billion per year.
