Infoworks secures $ 5 mn in Series-A funding from Nexus Partners

Infoworks, a data management firm, announced that it had secured $ 5 million in Series-A financing in a round led by Nexus Venture Partners, with participation from Knoll Ventures and others.

The company will use the influx of money to expand its management team. Naren Gupta, Managing Partner of Nexus Venture Partners, joins the board of directors of Infoworks.

The company has already added Ramesh Menon, head of product management, and Jitender Nankani, head of customer success to its team. Menon, until most recently, led product management at YarcData while Nankani was a principal at Saama.

The company also released a statement saying that it had added data warehouse augmentation solutions to its bouquet of services.
