INOX Air Products (INOXAP), a 50:50 joint venture between the INOX Group of India and Air Products & Chemicals of the United States, is scouting for investments in the country.

Speaking at an inauguration ceremony for their 1,250 tons per day (tpd) air separation unit (ASU) at SAIL, Bokaro Steel Plant, P K Jain, chairman and managing director, INOXAP said, “The SAIL Bokaro ASU facility is yet another landmark in INOXAP’s history of commitment to India’s iron and steel industry and growth of its economy. We are actively exploring more investment opportunities in this region.”

The ASU which has a capacity of 5,000 tons of oxygen, 3,000 tons of nitrogen and 500 tons of argon, would increase output, improve quality of the product and reduce raw material input cost for Bokaro Steel Plant. The air separation plant was completed in a span of 24 months and is the largest ASU in the SAIL stable.
