InterfaceFlor has been present in India for the past six years through partners and is now upgrading the status to a subsidiary, InterfaceFLOR India Pvt Ltd, headquartered in Bangalore. |

Addressing the media here on Thursday, President and CEO, InterfaceFLOR in Europe, Middle East, Africa and India Lindsey Parnell said, "In response to customer demands we have set up a full service operation in India offering a full range of products and services to customers and business partners. We expect a 30 per cent year-on-year growth and hope to achieve the one million sq metre mark in sales in 2009." |

According to company officials, Bangalore represents their largest market in India. |

The company also announced the setting up of sales offices in Mumbai, Delhi and Chennai. |

InterfaceFLOR has been selling carpet tiles for commercial use in India since 2001, primarily to the corporate sector. |

"In the last seven years, we have sold more than 1.4 million sq. mts. of carpet tiles in India and have built a base of over 200 customers," he said. |
