International start-up meet in Hyderabad from August 29

Will host more than 4,000 entrepreneurs from across India, Asia, West Asia and the US

Hyderabad will play host to August Fest, an international start-up conference, from August 29, 2015. The two-day event is being organised in association with the Indian School of Business (ISB), and T-Hub, a startup incubation initiative of the Telangana government.

“From 500 participants in the first year to 2,500 participants in the second, the fest is now gearing up to host about 4,000 entrepreneurs from across India, Asia, West Asia and the US,” said Kiran Maverick, founder of August Fest.

Conceived by Maverick's Eat Sleep Drink (ESD) Start-ups in 2013, the third edition of August Fest is aimed at startups, soon-to-be-startups, designers and creative professional (short-Indie films, creative projects and entertainment technologies).

"The third edition of August Fest will bring together the whole startup ecosystem in India for the first time. The event will witness the participation of over 50 speakers, including Vani Koli, managing director of Kalaari Capital, Cheryl Yeoh, chief executive of MAGIC Accelerator of Malaysia, and Hugh Mason, founder of JFDI Accelerator in Singapore, 300 investors and over 100,000 online visitors," he said.
