Intex launches curve smartphone for Rs 12,490

Device has a 5 inch curve display and comes with a rear camera of 8 mega pixel along with a 2 mega pixel front camera

Domestic handset maker Intex today launched a curved smartphone under its Aqua series for Rs 12,490, targeted towards the young users.

The device, which runs on Android Jelly Bean operating system, has a 5 inch curve display and comes with a rear camera of 8 mega pixel along with a 2 mega pixel front camera, the company said in a statement.

"Aqua Curve is a smartphone for next generation mobile phone users who like to make their own style statement and prefer to stay connected, while on the go," Intex Business Head (Mobile Division) Sanjay Kumar Kalirona said.

The company said Aqua Curve is the first Indian handset to feature a one glass solution (OGS) based curved display.

The device is available at over 40,000 retail outlets, more than 42 exclusive Intex retail stores and other leading e-commerce portals.
