Kolkata Knight Riders buys Gautam Gambhir for a whopping $2.4 million (approximately Rs 11.04 cr) in the opening round of IPL auctions. He was the first player to be bought.
The other successful bids are the following:
Royal Challengers Bangalore buys Zaheer Khan for $900,000.
Kolkata Knight Riders buys Yusuf Pathan for $2.1 million (9.66 cr).
New IPL team Kochi opens their account, buys Mahela Jayawardene of Sri Lanka for $1.5 million.
AB De Villiers was sold for $1.1 mn to Royal Challengers Bangalore
New IPL team Pune Warriors buys Yuvraj Singh for $1.8 mn.
Deccan Chargers bought Kevin Pietersen for $650,000.
Ross Taylor sold to Rajasthan Royals for $1 million.
Tillakaratne Dilshan sold to Royal Challengers Bangalore for $650,000.
