ITC launches 'Aashirvaad Spices' in Andhra

ITC Foods division launched 'Aashirvaad Spices' in Andhra Pradesh at Visakhapatnam on Thursday.
 
After a successful pilot launch in the north, east and west, the company had now entered south India with the launch in the Andhra Pradesh market, Vineeth Viswambharan, manger (Andhra region and Orissa), ITC Limited, said.
 
The national branded spices market (turmeric, chilly and coriander powder) was estimated to be Rs 450 crore, he said, adding that the company was aiming for a 20-25 per cent market share in the first year itself.
 
"We will launch the products across other south Indian states soon," he said.
 
"We have a strong retail network across the country and are implementing innovative market strategies apart from supplying quality products. We are, therefore, confident of achieving the target," he said.
 
The company sources chilli and turmeric from Andhra Pradesh and has a spices powder manufacturing unit in the state.
