Low-cost carrier Jagson Airlines will introduce Chandigarh-Shimla flights from January 4. Also, the airline is planning to start Chandigarh-Delhi evening flights from January. It also plans to tap Amritsar, Pathankot, and Jammu in the near future. |
Jagson Airlines today launched air taxi services from Delhi-Chandigarh-Kullu-Dharamshala. The company has knocked the Delhi-Chandigarh-Kullu-Dharmsala sector for the first time. It will have one flight three days a week - Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. |

Talking to Business Standard, Jagson Airlines Ltd Senior Vice-President D B Khurana, said, "There is a huge flow of tourists in these places, so we have started these services here. The commencing of this service will bring tourists spot of Himachal Pradesh close to Chandigarh." |

He added all these three hill stations were popular tourist centres, as Indian and foreign tourists are very keen to visit these places through out the year. |

On Tier-II and Tier-III cities, he said, "Most of these cities are not covered by any flight services, so we planned to extend our services to these areas. Moreover, in hills, travelling by road takes more time and air services will shorten the time." |

The airlines commenced their services in 1992 and since then it has been providing efficient and safe aviation facilities. At present, Jagson Airlines consist of three Dornier-228 (Dornier Lufthart German) aircraft and two 26-seater helicopter for services in the north eastern region. |

He added, "We will start service in Amritsar, Pathankot, Jammu. Also, the company will add two more 52-seater aircraft to expand their operations in January. At present, the company operates 24 flights a week and is planning to introduce 42 flights from January. |
