Japan CBM Corporation aims to sell 1.5 lakh Q&Q brand of watches in India during this fiscal. The company currently sells 6,000 Q&Q watches per month.

"Japan sees a sale of 400 watches per every 1,000 people each year, while India sells only 30. We, therefore, see immense scope in this country and that's why started our operations last fiscal," Hiroshi Nawata, director (Indian operations), Japan CBM Corporation, told mediapersons.

The company would appoint a couple of distributors in every state apart from setting up exclusive Q Square showrooms across the country to enhance the sales.

"By the end of this fiscal, we will open around 10 showrooms across the country and over the next two years, this number will be increased to 50," he said.

The corporation opened its fifth exclusive Q Square showroom in Visakhapatnam recently. The showrooms have on display about 700 designs and the price ranges from Rs 500 to Rs 6,000, he added.
