The board of directors of JCT will meet on January 31, 2005 to consider a proposal to hive-off of the steel division of the company.According to a release issued to the BSE, the meeting will also consider proposals for the merger/amalgamation of subsidiary/associate companies.The conversion of optionally partially convertible preference shares to equity shares as per the terms of the issue will also be discussed in the meeting, the release said.
