This follows similar promotions by SpiceJet and IndiGo.
Sources in the travel trade said SpiceJet was likely to further match the Jet discount. Jet has a market share of 23 per cent and a daily inventory of 65,000 seats on domestic routes. Discount offers help the airline to increase its forward bookings and raise cash.

On the Mumbai-Delhi route, Jet's tickets are priced at Rs 2,499 for travel in August. The next cheapest fare on offer is Rs 3,163.
Last week, SpiceJet did two such sale offers, to mark its 10th anniversary. IndiGo, as mentioned, is also offering discounted tickets, while Vistara is doing so on 90-day advance purchase fares.
