Private air-carrier Jet Airways today said its landing and parking fees outstanding were well within the normal credit limits prescribed by the Airports Authority of India (AAI).

"Jet Airways and JetLites' outstanding with the AAI as on March 31, 2008, stood at a very small fraction and well within the normal credit limit," Jet Airways Chief Executive Officer Wolfgang Prock-Schauer said in a statement sent to PTI here.

The dues were subsequently fully cleared in April, he said.

It is pertinent to note here Jet Airways also has security deposits with the AAI in the form of bank guarantee at any point of time, Prock-Schauer noted.

The assertion by India's largest private airline came in the wake of reports that several domestic air-carriers owed AAI around Rs 1,000 crore as landing and parking fees.
