The rebranding for international operations of Jet Airways has started. The Naresh Goyal-promoted private airline will offer first class seats on its international routes along with a new corporate identity, staff uniform, brand mark, seats and aircraft livery. |
The relaunching of its global product was announced by Jet board member and actor Shah Rukh Khan and actress Shabana Azmi. Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani, actor Anil Kapoor, ICICI Bank Managing Director K V Kamath, lyricist Javed Akthar, film directors Ramesh Sippy, Karan Johar and Yash Chopra were present to experience the new seats introduced on Jet's international flights. |

"We are repositioning Jet Airways as a global airline with the highest international standards but with a touch of India," said Guarang Shetty, vice -president (marketing), Jet Airways. Jet Airways worked closely with Landor & Associates to develop the new look and feel for the airlines. |

The new look retains the golden "flying sun" and dark blue as a primary colour, but introduced ribbons of yellow and gold. |

As a part of rebranding, Jet Airways, for the first time, will offer a first class configuration in all Boeing 777 aircraft with a new first class suite. Under the first class offering, the airline is providing a suite spread over 26 sq ft of usable space, features such as dual sliding doors that create complete privacy for first class passengers. The suite will have an 83-inch bed, a 23-inch flat screen monitors and a storage area. |

Each first class suite is designed to allow dining for two with a VIP table, multiple LED lighting options, various lumbar support and an 8-point massage system. The new Boeing 777s will be configured in three classes "" 8 first class, 30 business class and 274 economy seats "" and will initially operate on the Mumbai-London route. |

As further deliveries of these B777 aircraft are made, Jet will launch daily services to New York via Brussels by August. Daily services to San Francisco via Shanghai are also planned with the B777 fleet in winter 2007. However, the Airbus A330 aircraft, will be configured in two classes "" 30 business class and 190 economy class seats "" and will operate daily on the Delhi-London route. |
