Jet-Delta expand code share pact

Delta Airlines today announced expansion of its code share agreement with Jet Airways offering Indian passengers greater connections to the US via Paris and Amsterdam.

The expanded code share agreement which will be effective October 30 will offer convenient travel option to customers flying form the US via Paris to India complementing the current service offered through Amsterdam airport. Jet Airways will now code share to 21 destinations over Paris and 19 destinations over Amsterdam following the expansion.

Delta's co-operation with Jet Airways has been a great success and has opened up significant new service options via Amsterdam for the 11,000 passengers flying between North America and the Indian subcontinent each day," said Nat Pieper, Delta's Senior Vice President - Europe, Middle East, Africa and India. "The expansion of the codesharing across our European hubs is the next step in deepening our cooperation with Jet Airways and building strong links with the Indian market," he added in a statement.
