Jet Airways has hiked the fuel surcharge by Rs 150 on all domestic routes effective May 4, 2007.According to a release issued by Jet to the BSE today, the surcharge has been necessitated in view of the continuing escalation in aviation turbine fuel (ATF) prices. ATF prices have gone up by 3.5% from May 1, 2007."The revised fuel surcharge of Rs 900, which has been increased from Rs 750, will be applicable on all tickets purchased within India. The surcharge will be collected per flight coupon on all domestic routes within India. For tickets issued outside India, a surcharge of $20 will be applicable on each sector of domestic travel in India. It is also applicable on all domestic segments even if the domestic segment is part of an international journey," the release added.
