A day before the opening of its IPO, Jet Airways (India) today said it will pay up to $7.5 million to acquire the trademarks and intellectual property rights (IPRs) from the Naresh Goyal-promoted Jet Enterprises."Jet Enterprises has agreed to transfer and assign all trademarks and other IPRs owned by it to the private airline for a sum not exceeding $7.5 million," Jet Airways said in a statement today.The consideration has been mutually agreed to based on the valuation by chartered accountancy firm Chaturvedi and Shah, and the payment will be made after the completion of transfer and the assigment process, the release added.The airline had flagged the non-ownership of Jet Airways trademark as a risk factor in the draft red herring prospectus for its IPO.
