Set up at a cost of Rs 34 crore, the plant produces 13.5 mw of power and exports it to the Southern Power Grid. This fiscal, the company is expanding the existing capacity of its distillery from 20,000 to 40,000 kilolitres per day at a cost of Rs 7 crore. In 2002-03, it invested Rs 12 crore on upgrading technology of its plant. |

Of the 40,000 farmers registered with the company, about 10,000 farmers are supplying sugarcane. The company pays Rs 950 per tonne to the farmers inclusive of benefits like exemption of purchase tax by the state government. |
