JK Cement today posted around 25% rise in net profit during the October-December quarter at Rs 54.38 crore on improved sales.
The Kanpur-based cement maker had clocked Rs 43.52 crore net profit in the corresponding quarter last fiscal, it said in a BSE filing.
Net sales of the company, which has 7.5 million tonnes per annum cement-making capacity, rose to Rs 687 crore during the quarter under review compared to Rs 615 crore a year ago.
Total expenses also increased to Rs 585 crore from Rs 527 crore.
JK Cement's scrips today settled at 323.250 0apiece, up 0.14% in the BSE over the previous closing.
