JSW Energy reported a 70% plunge in net profit at Rs 57 crore for the quarter ended June 2012. It was Rs 190.2 crore in the same period a year ago.
However, the total income jumped 42.3% to Rs 1,707.3 crore as against Rs 1,199 crore in June 2011.
The company's stocks were trading 0.2% up at Rs 53 on BSE at 1500 hours
