JSW's crude steel production up 6% in Nov

JSW Steel's crude steel production for the month of November jumped by 6 per cent as compared to that for the same month last year. The company's crude steel production for November was 5.08 lakh tonne, as against 4.80 lakh tonne for November 2009.

Its production for the rolled products in long steel category saw the maximum jump of 28 per cent, at 0.88 lakh tonne. The company's flat rolled steel production stood at 3.81 lakh tonne, as against 3.17 lakh tonne, up by 20 per cent.

The company's stock had gained over 5 per cent or Rs 60 during the intra-day trading on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on the back of this news. It was trading at Rs 1,180 while the BSE 30-share Sensex was up 203 points at 20,170.
