Steel major JSW Steel today said it has clocked a 23 per cent growth in crude steel production in October at 5.59 lakh tonnes.
The production, in the same month last year, was 4.53 lakh tonnes.
Sequentially too, the company reported a nine per cent growth in monthly crude steel production, it said in a statement.
Rolled products (flat) production in October rose 41 per cent at 4.17 lakh tonnes against 2.96 lakh tonnes in the year-ago period. Its rolled products (long) production in the month rose 32 per cent at 1.01 lakh tonnes as against 0.76 lakh tonnes in the year-ago period.
