JSW Steel has posted a 15% drop in net profit at Rs 170.30 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2006 as compared to Rs 200.36 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2005. According to an official release issued by JSW Steel to the BSE today, total income has increased to Rs 1571 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2006 from Rs 1541.27 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2005.
