JVL Agro Industries today reported 86% increase in its net profit to Rs 54.27 crore for the year ended March 31, 2011.
The company had reported a net profit of Rs 29.22 crore in the year-ago period, it said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
JVL's turnover in the 2010-11 fiscal rose by 76% to Rs 2,175 crore as compared to Rs 1,234 crore in the previous fiscal.
The company manufactures hydrogenated vegetable oil (vanaspati ghee) and refined oils, at its manufacturing facility in Uttar Pradesh and has a production capacity of 300 tonnes per day.
Shares of the company today closed at Rs 22.70, down by 0.87% from previous close at the BSE.
