Jyothy Laboratories today said its net profit rose by 9.42 per cent to Rs 15.44 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, 2010, over the same period previous fiscal.
The company had a net profit of Rs 14.11 crore in the same period last fiscal, it said in a filing to Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
Total income of the company rose to Rs 148.49 crore for the second quarter, compared to Rs 130.45 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.
For the six-months period ended September 30, the company posted a net profit of Rs 41.16 crore, compared to Rs 36.09 crore in the same period previous fiscal.
The company's total income for the six months period ended September 30, rose to Rs 301.85 crore, compared to Rs 250.12 crore in the same period last fiscal.
Shares of Jyothy Laboratories today closed at Rs 283.90 on the BSE, down 6.99 per cent from its previous close.
