Travel and tour software solutions company Kale Consultant will now focus on cargo and logistics solutions for airlines. |
Towards this, Kale Consultants has developed a hosted model solutions software for Indian Airlines to manage end-to-end cargo operations. |
Indian Airlines has signed a five year contract with the company for providing cargo solutions. This contract for the complete suite of cargo solutions, will be on a hosted basis across 63 domestic and international stations of the airline. To offer a complete solution, Kale will also provide and maintain hardware at 10 Indian Airlines stations. |
The company is likely to generate revenues in excess of million dollars within a year of installing and managing the pay-for-use solutions. |
Significantly, Indian Airlines has firmed up its plans to convert old airplanes to freighters. The company is also in talks with all leading airlines which have significant cargo operations. |
Kale Consultants is also planning to extend its focus to ground handling operations, cargo warehousing and cargo terminal operations. Industry analysts said that with more airlines identifying the cargo business as a critical growth engine, this IT company is likely to benefit. |
"Companies are starting dedicated freight operations to cash in on the economic boom. Air-India is also planning to convert its old airplanes to freighters," they said. |
"Till now, the company was focusing on revenue accounting and auditing solutions for airline companies. With the current trade boom, Kale Consultants is also foraying into air cargo solutions," said Vipul Jain, chief executive officer and managing director of Kale Consultants. |
