Karur Vysya Bank Q4 profit drops 24% to Rs 119 cr
However, total income increases 14% to Rs 1,468 cr
BS Reporter Chennai Karur Vysya Bank Limited has reported a net profit of Rs 119.59 crore during the quarter ended March 31, 2014 as compared to Rs 158.58 crore, a year ago, a drop of 24%. Total income rose to Rs 1,468.45 crore from Rs 1,283.95 crore and interest earned to Rs 1,322.74 crore as compared to Rs 1,126.15 crore, an increased of around 17%.
The bank's Gross NPA during the quarter dropped to Rs 279.18 crore from Rs 285.86 crore and as a%age it came down to 0.82% from 0.96%. Net NPA of the bank stood at Rs 139.91 crore as compared to Rs 108.74 crore, and% of net NPA was 0.41% as compared to 0.37%.
At 1410 hours on Wednesday, the lender's scrip on BSE was trading 0.6% higher at Rs 449.
