While Karvy currently has a 125-seater set up offering services to 11 hospitals in US, the new joint venture, christened as C-Kar Systems Private Limited, will have a 500-seater capacity.
While C-Bay will provide the entire investment for the joint venture, the management and operation control would rest with Karvy, said Raman Kumar, the managing director of C-Bay Systems Private Limited.
This was purely to capitalise on Karvy's strengths that had been developed over the years on the operational and management side of the business, he added.
The new venture had already started recruiting medical transcriptionists who would undergo rigorous training before being absorbed into the business, the release added.
