Kirloskar Brothers Limited (KBL), one of the leading water management companies launched an independent website to extend the energy audit services for all types of pumps and motors. The company said, this new website www.pumpenergyaudit.com will facilitate a smooth interaction between users and KBL, by providing a single window interface. KBL is an Energy Service Company (ESCO), certified as per Grade 2 by The Bureau of Energy Efficiency.

With the launch of this website, this service will reach out to a large number of pump users who can achieve savings of up to 30 per cent of electricity bill on pumping after implementing the recommendations. In last two years, several clients have benefited with savings of approximately 11 million units of electricity amounting to almost Rs 4 crore after the recommended changes were implemented. Pump users from Industries like process industries, manufacturing industries, hotels, hospitals, steel plants, irrigation schemes/ departments, municipal water supply schemes, etc can avail the energy audit service.

To avail the services, a user needs to fill a simple form available on the website. After receiving the information, KBL energy audit team will visit the location and conduct sample energy audit for one pump. The energy audit team will then do an analysis of actual power consumption of existing running pump with respect to duty conditions of pump by measuring various performance parameters. After the audit is conducted, the team will submit a commercial proposal to conduct a detailed audit. Estimated energy savings potential will then be indicated in the commercial proposal. The team will then recommend steps or measures to improve efficiency and energy savings.

“KBL has an extensive experience of managing pumping solutions with maximum energy efficiency and low life cycle cost. Our focus is to optimise efficiency while maintaining reliability and durability as well as meet customers’ requirements. Launching an independent website for energy audit is another step focusing on energy efficient products and services. I am confident, the industries will come forward to avail this facility which will help them to be more energy efficient and contribute in energy conservation," Jayant Sapre, director KBL said.
