KEC bags orders worth Rs 207 cr from PGCIL, CESC

Mumbai, Mar 30 (PTI) Power transmission and engineering company KEC International today said it has bagged two orders totalling Rs 207 crore from Power Grid Corporation of India (PGCIL) and CESC Ltd for infrastructure-related works.

In a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange, KEC International said it has bagged a Rs 166-crore order from PGCIL for construction of power lines in Uttar Pradesh.

The project, involving the construction of a 192.5-km line, is scheduled to be complete by December 2011.

The company has secured the second order valued at Rs 41 crore from CESC Ltd, an RPG Enterprises flagship company, for construction of overhead transmission lines.

The construction of the 15-km power lines in the state of West Bengal is scheduled to be complete by June 2009, the filing added.

RPG Enterprises has presence in sectors like power, tyres, retail, IT, Transmission, it added.

Shares of KEC International were trading at Rs 148.20, down 1.36 per cent on the BSE.
