RPG group firm KEC International today said it has bagged three substation orders worth Rs 980 crore from Kazakhstan Electricity Grid Operating Company (KEGOC) and Power Grid Corporation of India (PGCIL).
The two orders received from KEGOC are for the execution, including rehabilitation, of a total of 38 substations spread across the North East and South of Kazakhstan, KEC International said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
While the first order is for 21 substations, the second order is for 17.
These orders, worth Rs 942 crore, have been obtained in consortium with a local company and will be executed over a period of 33 months, the filing added.
Another Rs 38 crore order has been secured from PGCIL for supply and construction of 400 KV substation in West Bengal.
"The order wins from KEGOC is another step towards consolidating ourselves in the substation segment. With these orders, our total order intake for last three months reaches approx Rs 3,400 crore," KEC International CEO & MD Ramesh Chandak said.

Last week, KEC International had bagged Rs 1,018 crore worth of orders.
Shares of the company were trading at Rs 106.55 on BSE, up 1.86 per cent from the previous close.
