KEC Int'l wins orders worth Rs 1,253 cr

KEC International, a global infrastructure EPC major, today received orders worth Rs 1,253 crore in the Transmission, Power systems, Water, Telecom and Cable business.

It bagged order worth Rs 310 crore from Saudi Arabia, US and Afghnistan in the Transmission business. The orders are for construction of overhead transmission lines, towers and underground cable work.

In addition, SAE Towers, a wholly-owned subsidiary of KEC has also received Rs 154 crore worth orders from US, Brazil and Mexico.

In the Power System business, the company won orders in India and from Kenya and Phillippines for substation works.

In India, Power Grid Corporation of India (PGCIL) order of Rs 59 crore comprises of construction of substation in Karnataka with a contractual completion period of 24 months. It would be the third 400 KV/ 220 KV substation project for the company in last one and a half years.

KEC has also received six orders in the Water business to the tune of Rs 123 crore and the order book in this business has reached Rs 300 crore.

The firm has won orders worth Rs 105 crore in the Cable business as well with Rs 49 crore worth project from PGCIL.
