KEC International bags Rs 1,300 cr orders from various clients

The execution time for most of these orders is between 18 and 24 months

KEC International, a leading engineering, procurement and construction firm, today said it has won orders worth Rs 1,300 crore from different clients across the world.
 
In a statement, the company said that its transmission business won Rs 909 crore orders various clients from India, Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan, Kenya, Americas, Kazakhastan and Laos, while other business segments like power systems, cable and water businesses bagged rest of the orders.
 
"In the transmission business, the company has won new orders amounting to Rs 909 crore," KEC International said, adding that of this, the largest order, worth Rs 318 crore, it bagged from Power Grid Corporation of India.

The flagship firm of the RPG Group said that its water division bagged two orders, worth Rs 134 crore, from Madhya Pradesh government, while the cable division secured 182 crore orders for supply of power and telecom cables.
 
According to a company spokesperson, the company bagged these orders in last one month and KEC's total order book currently stands at about Rs 9,200 crore.
 
He further said that the execution time for most of these orders is between 18 and 24 months.
 
KEC International, a part of RPG group, has presence in 49 countries and operates in the verticals of power transmission, power systems, cables, railways, telecom and water.
 
Shares of the company were being quoted at Rs 35.25 apiece on the BSE at 1445 hrs, up 0.86% from the previous close.
