KEC International gets orders worth Rs 1,004 crore

Cables segment of the company has secured a Rs 98 cr order for supply of power and telecom cables

Leading infrastructure firm KEC International has bagged orders worth Rs 1,004 crore including four orders totalling Rs 760 crore in transmission business from India and abroad.

In the transmission business, it has secured Rs 314 crore orders from Tamil Nadu, a Rs 271 crore order from Andhra Pradesh, orders cumulatively worth Rs 147 crore from the US, Brazil and Mexico and a Rs 28 crore order from Kuwait, KEC said in a BSE filing.

The cables segment of the company has secured a Rs 98 crore order for supply of power and telecom cables.

In the telecom business, KEC has won an order for the supply and installation of OPGW cable and associated hardware on turnkey basis from Maharashtra Transmission Communication Infrastructure Ltd (MTCIL) valued at Rs 90 crore.

Besides, it secured a Rs 56 crore order for establishment of 138 KV substations on turnkey basis in the Philippines.

Shares of the company were trading at Rs 25.80, up 1.57% during the afternoon trade in the BSE.
