KEC International wins Rs 1,200-crore orders

Company has received two orders valued at Rs 590 crore in the power segment and Rs 73 crore orders for supplying of towers

Global infrastructure major KEC International has bagged orders worth Rs 1,200 crore in various business segments from different geographies.

The transmission and power system business of the company received Rs 886-crore order from both India and other countries such as Afghanistan, Americas and Abu Dhabi, it said in a release.

The company has received two orders valued at Rs 590 crore in the power segment from Afghanistan and Rs 73 crore orders for supplying of towers, monopoles and hardware from the Americas.

Railways business got a Rs 228-crore order from Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd for electrification, civil works, signalling and telecommunication works in Uttar Pradesh.

Cable business got a contract worth Rs 86 crore for the supply of power and telecom cables, it said.

Shares of the RPG group firm were trading at Rs 61.75 apiece, up 1.98% during the afternoon trade on the BSE.
