Global infrastructure EPC major, KEC International, has secured new orders worth Rs 740 crore spread across its businesses.
The RPG Group company has secured orders from Bangladesh, US, Canada, Mexico and Brazil for the establishment of transmission lines, lattice towers, poles and hardwares in various geographies within these countries. The firm also has orders from Malaysia and Kenya to establish power system substations and distribution lines.
KEC International will be setting up the power supply, signalling and telecommunications systems on a turnkey basis for the North-South railway project in Turkmenistan. This is the largest ever railway order for the company. with the entry in Turkmenistan, the company has expanded its footprint in the CIS region. The company already has a presence in Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and Georgia in this region.
Also, the firm has secured various orders for supply of power cables and telecom cables, worth a total of Rs 212 crore.
Shares of KEC International were trading at Rs 56.75 apiece at the BSE, up 3.10 % from the previous day's close.
