KEC Intl to eye Rs 5,000-cr revenue

RPG Group company, KEC International, today said that it is on well on track to post a close to Rs 5,000-crore revenue this fiscal on the back of a robust order-book of Rs 7,000 crore and a huge growth potential.

"We have done very well in the first six-months of this fiscal. We are confident of maintaining our growth momentum. If we continue to fare as well as we have done so far, we should clock a turnover of close to Rs 5,000 crore," KEC International's Managing Director & CEO Ramesh Chandak told PTI here.

Last fiscal, the company posted a turnover of Rs 3,900 crore.

The company has bagged some prestigious and huge orders in the recent past and now has a robust order-book of Rs 7,000 crore, its highest-ever, he said.

One of its biggest orders is from SNC Lavalin, Canada, worth Rs 735 crore for supply of high-voltage transmission line towers for that company's various projects in Canada.

"This enhances the presence of KEC in the America and further emphasises the company's leadership in the transmission tower manufacturing space," Chandak said.

Besides the Canadian one, the company has bagged a Rs 158 crore order from Nigeria, Rs 135 crore from Power Grid and a Rs 95 crore order from the Parbati Koldam Transmission Company, a joint venture between Reliance Infrastructure and Power Grid Corporation of India.
