Chennai-based Khazana Jewellery (India) Private Limited is planning to foray into the overseas market in the next two years. |
The jewellery house, which for the last three years stopped export of gold jewellery to other countries to meet the internal demand, has now decided to open Khazana Jewellery showrooms abroad. |
"Initially, we will be opening jewellery showrooms in Colombo and Dhaka. We will set up our retail outlets in Singapore and Dubai at a later stage," Kishore Jain, managing director of Khazana Jewellery, told mediapersons here after inaugurating the company's showroom in Visakhapatnam. |
Khazana Jewellery, which claims to be the first jeweller in the country to introduce a purity guarantee card with a photo of the ornament with every purchase, currently has four exclusive showrooms in south including the one at Vizag. |
"During the current year, we plan to add two more showrooms in Vijayawada and one in Tamil Nadu at an investment of Rs 10 crore on each showroom," Jain said. |
The jewellery house has recently introduced an old-gold exchange scheme in Chennai. The company plans to introduce the same in Visakhapatnam shortly. |
