When contacted, Khurana told Business Standard that he had put in his papers by mid-December, even though he was only relieved from official duties late last month. |

B D Khurana, popularly known as BDK, is considered the architect behind Reliance's telecom venture. He is also credited with setting up the first private sector telecom company in the country, Punjab Wireless Systems, of which he was the CEO. |

Prior to joining Reliance, Khurana worked with Bharti Televentures as president, networks. He had also worked with companies like DSC Communications and Optel Telecommunications. |
