Kinetic back into two wheeler space with MV Agusta

Bikes will be brought in as CBUs and SKDs, and prices are likely to range from Rs 12 to Rs 33 lakh

Pune-based Kinetic Group is back into the two wheeler space by launching super bikes in India. The company has partnered with Italian motorcycle manufacturer MV Agusta. The bikes will be brought in as CBUs and SKDs, and prices are likely to range from Rs 12 to Rs 33 lakh.

Kinetic will set up a dealership network and after sales service in major cities of India.The current MV Agusta portfolio consists of a range of exotic high-performance machines such as the Brutale, Rivale, Turismo Veloce, F3 and the range-topping F4.

"We are really excited to be bringing these extraordinary machines to India, for riders who demand the utmost performance from their bikes, said Ajinkya Firodia, managing director, Kinetic World.

Kinetic can launch any or all of these motorcycles in India over the next two-three years, with the first launch slated for November 2015. A team of engineering experts is already working on homologation and other formalities, company said in a statement.

In the recent years, India market has witnessed an exponential growth in premium two wheelers segment. After Triumph, Moto Guzzi, Aprilia, Benelli, BMW Motorrad and Ducati, MV Agusta is the latest European motorcycle brand to make its presence in India. Globally, MV Agusta sells about 10,000 bikes every year. It has a strategic tie up with Mercedes-AMG GmbH for co-marketing of their products.
