Company officials said flying from Indian destinations to Europe and the United States will help Kingfisher offset some losses that it suffers on domestic routes due to exorbitant aviation fuel costs.

"We stand on the threshold of starting international services to Britain, the United States and elsewhere," said airline's Chairman and chief executive officer Vijya Mallya. "We will take concepts of service, comfort and pampering to an altogether different level."

The A330-200 plane has 187 seats in economy cabin and 30 in first class. Jet Airways currently operates A330s between India and its Brussels European hub in Belgium and onto Canada and North America.

With the merger of Kingfisher Airlines and Deccan, the airline covers all segments of air travel from low to premium fares. The combined entity connects 64 cities and has 442 daily departures.
