Komet to expand product range

Komet Precision Tools India, a subsidiary of the Germany-based euro 150 million machine tools firm Komet Industries, has announced the expansion of its offerings.

The company, which has been offering tools for drilling, roughing, fine boring, reaming and thread milling, has launched X3 Solutions, which offers solutions for project management.

Said Peter Hoger, managing director, KOMET Group: "India is a booming market for the manufacturing sector now. We provide tools which enable manufacturers to effectively manage their time and money and the launch of X3 Solutions is a move in that direction."

With the X3 Solutions, Komet India aims to provide the best of breed machining solutions like project consultation, planning, management, completion and after-sales service.

"Manufacturers are increasingly facing shorter time periods to launch multiple variants of a product in the automobile industry and each time they have to spend precious time trying to rework their manufacturing systems and processes. We step in at this juncture and take this pain away from the manufacturers so that they can focus on their core competence of designing and marketing," Hoger said.

He said that this solution is backed by strong service and support through trained and technically-qualified engineers.

"We aim to optimise the production process for our customers, making it economical, documented and comprehensible," he said, adding that the solutions incorporate forward looking services for its customers, which are based on quality, competence and the time factor.

Komet India has a manufacturing unit in Bangalore and is in the process of expanding this unit with an investment of close to Rs 2 crore.
