Union power minister Sushilkumar Shinde said today that Doosan Heavy Industries and Construction Co Ltd of South Korea had expressed interest in setting up a power equipment manufacturing facility in Haryana, to be fully owned by the foreign company.
“Recently, Doosan has written a letter to us, showing interest for 100 per cent foreign direct investment (FDI). The South Korean company will produce boilers and turbines here. The project will happen on leased land in Haryana,” said the power minister, during an Indian Chamber of Commerce event.
