Kulkarni Developers sets sights on Hyd

Pune-based DS Kulkarni Developers Limited (DSKDL), part of the Rs 1,200-crore DSK group, is planning to undertake housing construction projects in Hyderabad.

"Though we are just on the lookout for a suitable place in the city, the company would like to develop a township at an investment of not less than Rs 200 crore," said D S Kulkarni, chairman and managing director of the company.

Addressing a press conference, Kulkarni said the company had decided to extend its operations to Hyderabad after it started receiving a number of enquiries from within and outside for buying real estate in the city.

"Earlier, we used to get similar enquiries about real estate in Bangalore. We want to make use of this opportunity," he said, adding that the company's focus would be on middle income families.

He said DSKDL was at present handling housing projects worth about Rs 550 crore in Mumbai, Pune and Bangalore. Kulkarni said the company would come out with its plans for a second public issue soon.
