Rajasthan-based Kushalbagh Marble Pvt Ltd has pulled out of Katni Stone Park. The company had proposed a marble cutting and polishing unit with an investment of Rs 10 crore last year. |
Though the company officials could not be contacted, a government source told Business Standard, "The firm has not given us any response despite a letter of intent had been issued to it." |

On an area of 100 acres, Katni Stone Park is being developed in Hardua village (Katani district) near Sleemnabad town (1 km away). |

The estimated deposit of Katni marbles in the region is 3,283.42 lakh cubic metres. Jabalpur-based Samdariya Enterprises and Shree Venkteshwar Marble have started production with an investment of Rs 1.20 crore and Rs 80 lakh, respectively. |

"Divya Marbles is investing Rs 1.69 crore, Pashupati Marbles has invested Rs 2.18 crore, Marble Plaza will invest Rs 93.65 lakh, Manu Marbles Rs 15 lakh and another firm Yadu Overseas Ltd will come to the park. Yadu Overseas has proposed an investment of nearly Rs 1 crore," said the source. Together, these firms have created 112 jobs. |

Other big firms like Surya Vinayak and RK Marbles have also proposed huge investments in the park. A few other companies have started production and export from the park. |
